We Have Been Around Since 1985

Our company first started manufacturing the highest quality steam, hot, and cold water pressure washers in 1985. Our goal has always been to design and manufacture the highest quality pressure washers and cleaning equipment. We achieve this goal by using only high-grade, top-quality components. That’s why our motto is simple: Our products clean fast and outlast.

Our Story

We have grown for more than three decades and have truly transformed from where we were in our humble beginnings. In 1985, John Koen created Hydro Tek systems. This came after he had a vision of becoming the most reliable company producing pressure washers. He was driven by a deep desire to create the best equality using the most innovative thinking. His goal was to provide both the fastest and the most durable pressure washers in the world.

As if that were not enough, he also wanted to create pressure washers that looked great and that had a unique style. He knew that it was not enough to create a pressure washer that was the longest lasting or one that worked the hardest – he wanted customers to not have to choose between the two.

We Have Continued to Grow Throughout the Years

You will find that each member of the Hydro Tek takes pride in what they do. We continue to research and develop to ensure that we are using the most efficient manufacturing process, that our products are the best in the business, and that we offer the best possible value in the competitive global market. We now also offer Hydro Loop, a was water recovery and recycling system that can help preserve water and make the cleaning process much more eco-friendly.

In 2015 we were purchased by Nilfisk, one of the leading manufacturers of professional cleaning equipment in the world. After more than 100 years of cleaning expertise, they have provided the opportunity to further develop our manufacturing process. By 1991, we were using computer-aided drafting systems to refine our product designs and improve efficiency. In 1997, we brought the power of computers to the shop floor by incorporating laser-cutting and other CNC manufacturing machinery, and in 2001 we began focusing on improving efficiency through the latest manufacturing techniques. The end result has been superior products delivered at a superior value to our customers.
